Dexter Sports Walking Football Club have renewed their membership to The Walking Football Association (WFA) again. Membership grants the club WFA affiliation status and comes with a number of benefits.
The affiliation will last until 31 March 2026. The WFA describe their purpose as being “…to promote and facilitate the playing of Walking Football in England as a unique amateur sport for the purpose of recreation, physical exercise and competition.”
Main benefits of WFA Affiliation
- Personal accident cover for all players who belong to the club – this includes during training and whenever playing in WFA approved tournaments, leagues or cups. To ensure you’re covered by the WFA Personal Accident Insurance, you need to register as a player on the WFA website.
- It allows members to enter the National Cup and any other WFA run events.
- The right to submit players for the National Teams – only players from affiliated clubs can represent England at walking football.
- The right to vote on WFA related items.
- And our club is listed on the Club Directory of the WFA website.
