This coming Sunday sees Dexters Storm and Dexters Thunder enter the Dorset Walking Football League 50s division. For the first time we’ll enter two teams for the season.
The way it’ll work is as follows – now try and keep up… we’ve named six players to play for Storm all season. Those players cannot play for Thunder during 2024/25. All the other players can play for Thunder or Storm during the season.
Below you’ll find the squads and fixtures for each team, along with 50s Manager, Andy Madden’s thoughts. The squad players can only play for their assigned team i.e. Storm or Thunder this weekend, while the subs can play for either, but once they’ve played for one, they can’t play for the other in the same league round.
The four subs for this league round are: Andy Shute, Simon Allen, Darren Wheeler and Nick Webb.

In my 12 months since being appointed 50s Manager, I can say without any question that team selection has been my toughest challenge and it is only going to become more of a challenge as more squad members make themselves available.”
I would love to be able to give all players the opportunity to play competitive league football and in entering two teams we have doubled the number to whom that opportunity can be given. Some, however, are going to miss out and that saddens me. Such is the nature of competitive sport.”
Andy Madden, DSWFC 50s Manager
