You didn’t misread that – WFA Player Accident and Injury Insurance is totally free if you’re a member of a Walking Football Association affiliated club. Dexter Sports Walking Football Club renewed its affiliation to the WFA earlier this year, so all our players have this cover when representing the club – but you must register your details on the WFA website to be covered.
“Oh, that sounds like a pain!” might be your first thought, but actually, it isn’t. The online registration form is simple and quick to complete and you’ll have cover immediately. Well, that sounded like a sales pitch! We can assure you, there’s nothing in this for Dexters, other than piece of mind that our players are suitably covered.
Main points to know about WFA Player Accident and Injury Insurance:
- You’ll be insured for all WFA events, leagues and tournaments
- Cover runs from 1 April to 31 March annually (as long as your club is affiliated to The WFA)
