I joined Dexters over a year ago as I wanted to get fit and lose some weight, I was made to feel very welcome from the first session and I enjoy meeting up with everyone each time I attend. -

Can honestly say walking football was not for me… until I caved in and tried it thanks to the influence of two old friends… aside from the outstanding set up, genuine friendliness and sense of humour of everyone at Dexters (and the iconic … More kit) the actual football is fantastic fun and brilliantly competitive!! Looking forward to the new season for the first time in 20 odd years!! 👍👍 -

I joined a few months ago and I feel that Dexter's is very well run and everyone there has made me feel welcome. I really enjoy the training at Hamworthy and Canford heath. When I was lying in my hospital bed following my heart transplant … More I was dreaming of playing football again and Dexter's has helped that become a reality. I would like thoroughly recommend it. -

A nicely run club, friendly team mates with a good committee. It’s up to you whether you simply want a kick about once a week or stay on for extra coaching sessions, or enter competitions with one of the clubs tournament sides. Social meet … More ups as an added bonus. -

What can i say about this club, i received an invite from an old school friend asking if i would be interested in playing walking football. Having never played this type of football before i wasn't sure what it would be like, after … More my first training session i couldn’t walk for a couple of days after but can honestly say i loved it. It is faster than you think. The club is well organised and extremely friendly you can just train for fitness or you can participated in leagues and cups. If you are interested in giving walking football a go i could not recommend Dexters Walking Football Club high enough. -

Two months ago, upon learning that my 63-year-old father would be visiting me and meeting his newborn granddaughter, I thought it would be wonderful for him to join a local football club, given his passion for the sport. In Thailand, he … More regularly plays football with his group of friends, and I hoped he could find a similar experience here, allowing him to make new connections and continue doing what he loves.
With this in mind, I posted in the Poole community group, and Dexter graciously welcomed my father to join the team immediately. I consider myself fortunate to have found the Dextor group.
On behalf of myself and my father, I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Dexter Football Club for being so welcoming, especially to Paul, whose kindness and support have meant so much to my father. The entire team has been incredibly friendly and accommodating.
Although his time here was brief, only one month, it was a truly meaningful and enriching experience for my father. He will certainly miss the team, and should he have the opportunity to visit the UK again, he looks forward to rejoining you all for another game.
Thank you again for everything. -

I recently started playing walking football with Dexters, I'd not kicked a ball in anger in over 20 years and my fitness levels leave a lot to be desired.
However, the welcome I received from all players made me feel right at home … More from the first minute.
I only joined a month ago, but already feel part of a team again after all the years of not playing.
The Friday night games are competitive, but always played with good banter and in the right spirit.
If you are thinking of taking up walking football, you can't go wrong by joining Dexters.
Great games, great fun and a great bunch of guys. -

A very well run club and all the members are both friendly and welcoming. I've been a member for over a year now....I live in Christchurch so its not the closest walking football to me, but it's definitely worth the drive. The … More camaraderie amongst the players is second to none 👍👍 -

🦠 I joined Dexter Sports Walking Club in 2022 after having nothing to do post-COVID. Thought I'd get a bit of exercise and that would be it - how wrong was I?
⚽ Friendship, camaraderie and tournaments, which I had no idea about beforehand! … More I've never really played competitive football, but I do now, and I don't feel out of place.
🍬 My first touch is poor, can't shoot for toffee and my positioning is questionable, but everyone is so supportive.
🔵🔴 I would recommend walking football (which isn't as slow as you might imagine) and would especially recommend DSWFC.
📞 If you're in doubt - don't be. Drop the club a line and give it a go. -

Dexters Walking Football Club is an exceptional community for those interested in trying walking football and fitness. The moment you step onto the field, you are greeted with warmth and friendliness that instantly makes you feel at home. … More The club’s members go out of their way to ensure everyone, regardless of skill or fitness level, feels welcome and included.

Dexters provides a perfect environment for staying active, having fun, and being part of a community that truly cares.
