The DSWFC 60s squad travelled to Dorchester for round three of the Dorset Walking Football League hoping for a change in fortunes after three draws and one defeat during the last round in November.
Fortune didn’t shine on the team again as three more matches without a win were added to the list, bringing the number of matches without victory to nine in-a-row.

Results
A bit like the weather on the day, our performance wasn’t good. We lost our first match against Sherborne 2-0. It was a closer match than the score suggests though.
Our second match was a 1-1 draw with Swanage. We scored first through a fine strike from Brian, before conceding a disappointing late equaliser.
Our final match of the afternoon was against Weymouth, who sit second in the table after this round. We lost 0-1 after conceding an early goal. We really didn’t test the their goalie enough in the rest of the match.
John Gray, DSWFC 60s manager
“Overall in my opinion, it was narrow margins in all the games, but for some reason we didn’t gel as a team – hopefully just one of those days. Thanks to Kate for sausage rolls and congratulations on your first tournament refereeing.”
Peter Kane, DSWFC 60s captain
“Yes John, we didn’t “gel” today and we didn’t keep our shape. We got pulled all over the pitch which left so many gaps. Plus we switched off four times and conceded four goals. Hopefully we’ll learn from that experience. Congratulations Kate on making your debut refereeing a league tournament.” 👏👏👏
